The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) has been working with Sandata, ODM’s Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) vendor, to prepare for changes coming to the EVV claims adjudication process in 2025.
The changes will take place in phases, with Phase 1 starting 03/01/25. Phase 1 will impact home health services billed directly to ODM. Claims without a matching EVV visit record will be denied for reimbursement.
ODM is still working with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to finalize the schedule for other phases, including DODD waiver services. ODM will provide information as soon as possible. ODM will provide ample notice to providers before another phase of claims’ validation begins.
