
Beginning August 1, 2026, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) will expand its compliance review process to strengthen oversight and help prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
During routine compliance reviews, DODD will randomly verify a small sample of 15-minute Homemaker/Personal Care (HPC) claims paid within the previous three months (or the most recent three months billed). Additional services and billing units may be included in future reviews.
Reminder: Providers must maintain complete and accessible service documentation for all individuals served during the previous three months, not just those included in the review sample. Claims without required documentation or documentation that does not meet rule requirements may be subject to repayment.
