Billing errors are a common frustration for many providers, especially when asked to back out billing to revise a PAWS or fix an error.
Billing errors can result from a variety of causes, such data entry errors, Medicaid number is invalid, claim does not match PAWS, or EVV discrepancies.
There is no one way to fix billing errors. How to fix the error depends on the error itself and timing. Sometimes information can be changed and claims resubmitted immediately. Sometimes, claims must be reversed and submitted one week later.
