When an individual has passed away, TCM services are no longer billable. Any activity related to the individual after death should be coded appropriately as administrative or unallowable.
Other/Administrative Activities:
- Working with the IA/UI/MUI
- Closing out the case
- Notifying team members or other agencies involved
Unallowable Activities:
- Assisting with funeral arrangements
- Assisting with death benefits
- Attending the funeral
