Direct services are a coverage exclusion under Targeted Case Management (TCM). Examples of direct services include:
- Assisting with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Providing transportation to appointments or activities
- Assisting an individual with cleaning or packing or shopping
- Establishing household budgets
These types of activities are not allowable/reimbursable under TCM and should be coded as unallowable.
